Preps have officially learnt all of their letter sounds!
In Prep, we learn the alphabet using a book called Milo’s Birthday Surprise and we run the Little Learners Love Literacy program.
Through this book, we learn letters and sounds by meeting different characters such as Milo Monkey for the sound /m/, and Sally Snake for the sound /s/. This helps students learn the letter and the exact sound it makes.
We had a celebration on Thursday June 25 where students made masks of characters, teachers dressed up as characters, and even Milo Monkey was there!
We thank our executive principal Tori Mulligan for being such a good sport by dressing up as our title character. The students loved it!
