At Manor Lakes P-12 College, our House system fosters school spirit, teamwork, and a sense of belonging among students. Our four Houses – Cowan, Freeman, Hollows, and Paterson – honour inspiring Australians who embody perseverance, leadership, and contribution to society.

Named after Cathy Freeman, a celebrated Australian former sprinter, best known for winning the 400-meter gold medal at the Sydney 2000 Olympics. As an Indigenous icon, she has inspired countless Australians by using her athletic achievements to promote reconciliation and social unity.

Named after Fred Hollows, an Australian ophthalmologist and humanitarian dedicated to restoring sight to people in need, particularly in Indigenous Australian and developing communities. His legacy lives on through The Fred Hollows Foundation, which continues his work in preventing and treating avoidable blindness worldwide.

Named after Banjo Paterson, an Australian poet, journalist, and author best known for writing Waltzing Matilda and celebrating the spirit of the Australian bush. His works, including The Man from Snowy River, captured the rugged landscapes and characters of the outback, making him one of Australia’s most beloved literary figures.
