Two of our secondary male athletes recently excelled in elite company in throwing events.
Year 9 student Nivedh Biju, competing in the Victorian All Schools Track and Field Championships at Lakeside Stadium in early October, finished third in the under-15 hammer with an impressive throw of 33.73m.
Meanwhile, Year 11 student Cesar Win came fifth in the javelin with a throw of 33.4m in the School Sport Victoria State Secondary Track and Field Championships at the same venue on Friday October 16.
Remarkably, Cesar only started javelin in June!
