Reconciliation Week

2 June, 2026

A special Reconciliation Week event was held in Village Square at recess on Wednesday May 27.

Traditional custodian Melinda Kennedy performed a Welcome To Country and a smoking ceremony, while Michael Cussens played the didgeridoo.

Melinda and Michael also met with some of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

What is Reconciliation Week?

Held annually from May 27 to June 3, Reconciliation Week is an important opportunity for our students to learn about shared histories, cultures, respect, and ways we can continue to build positive relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
