For the second year in a row, Year 7 student Josh Bradford won a silver medal at the state taekwondo championships.
Despite competing in a higher division – red belt cadet, male 12-14 years, 41-45kgs – Josh once again proved himself a formidable competitor in claiming second place.
Josh was pleased with the result, particularly given he competed against some more experienced opponents.
He hopes to again perform well in the national championships, where last year he finished third.
At his current rate of development, Josh will likely compete as a red belt for another year before graduating to cho dan bo (provisional black belt).
He represents the City West Taekwondo club in Hoppers Crossing.
